Only working together can we fix this nation.

So let's get started!

Why I'm Running for Congress

What else can I do?

In the wake of the 2016 election I, like the vast majority of people in our District, was uneasy about the path that lay ahead for our country. I consoled friends and neighbors alike, listening as they told me what their fears and concerns were; one was told to "go back to Mexico!" while others saw hate crime rates rise in their neighborhoods.

And just like many of you, I wrote and called my Senators and Congressman, organized and took part in groups to strategize how to protect everything this nation had worked towards. But it wasn't enough.

I'm running for Congress because I want to help the people of the 3rd District and transform it, and this nation, into a true land of equality.

I'm a 33-year-old millennial who has worked in the tech industry for most of my life. I've been able to work for some amazing companies that I have helped innovate but I have also had my low points, and required the assistance of food stamps and unemployment. Through it all I've done what I can to help my fellow neighbors and citizens. I've been on the board of the Mt. Airy Art Garage for over 3 years because of my passion for the arts. All of these things make me unlike anyone who has ever served in the U.S. Congress, that is why I'm running.

We need people who understand computer technology in an intimate way in Congress. We need people who are not only passionate about the arts but active in helping them grow. We need people who know the personal struggles of living on social welfare and how to overcome them so that they can help others.

We need someone in Congress who knows what it means to live in the 3rd District of Today.

I stand for breaking up the big banks, ensuring the current administration follows the rules of law, and ensuring we protect the lives of our citizens through Medicaid-for-All, protecting the 2nd Amendment with common sense gun reform, and conserving the environment for ourselves and future generations. I stand for everyone who's ever felt like they were screaming at an insurmountable wall.

I'm a Republican running for Congress because, just like you, I'm tired of screaming at a wall. I want to do something instead.

Why? Because what else could I do?
